Katherine Schafler
Katherine works with people who can present really well, seem completely put together when they want to be, and whose problems are not immediately apparent to others. She believes therapy works best when it's a collaborative process, thriving on the mutual trust and respect between therapist and client. She doesn’t believe in practicing from a distance -- Katherine brings her real self into the room in a warm, honest, supportive and direct way.
She earned her BA in Psychology from UC Berkeley before completing her clinical training and graduate work at Columbia University. In addition to her private practice work, Katherine has been called upon as an emotional health expert in a series of popular publications, including TIME, Forbes, ELLE, Glamour, Good Housekeeping, Fast Company, Huffington Post, MSN, etc.
